Indy Cichlid Club (ICC) was created in 2007 as a chapter of the Midwest Cichlid Association. A meet was held to gauge the interest in a Cichlid Club with in Indiana. In 2008 the ICC was founded. The website was created to further the groups membership and start to fulfill the mission of the group.
The ICC is a member run organization created to educate, spread and support fellow hobbyist within Central Indiana. The group holds monthly meetings, where members can meet and discuss the latest information in the hobby.
The Fort Wayne Chapter of the ICC was established in May 18th 2009. It was a colaberation between then President Mike Dunagan and then Fort Wayne Regional leader Jeff.
The 1st annual ICC cookout was held July of 2008 at the home of the then President Mike Dunagan. It was a great meeting with burgers and lots of food from members. We discussed the then MCA Indy Chapter, and the direction to take. The website is spin off from this meeting.
The 2nd annual ICC cookout was held June 27th 2009 at the home of the then Vice President Bobby Sutton. This was a great meeting with a lot of new faces. The ICC continued to build, and of course eat.
ICC 1st Winter Bash
On January 31, 2009 the first annual winter bash was held at, then Vice President, Bobby Sutton's home . The event had a presentation about the club followed by a tour of Bobby's fishroom in the works.
On January 16, 2010 the 2nd annual winter bash was held at, the then Treasure's, Dave Matthew's home. We took a trip to a few local fish shops including our sponsor the reef. It was great time, and we had a lot of fun sharing.
